Our tea experts and suppliers go above and beyond to ensure you get the highest quality of herbs- however, that's not the only thing that goes into creating the dreamiest cup of tea. The quality of these herbs are best shown through brewing them correctly. If you're all for a flavour-packed and magical cup of tea, here are some tips and recommendations to ensure a magnificent brew each time.

Whether you're reaching for your favourite loose-leaf tea blend, or grabbing a tea bag on your way to work to throw in your flask, here are a few things you should consider doing for a stunning tea-sipping experience.

What to look out for...

Cleanliness: Make sure your tea pot, kettle and mugs are as clean as a whistle.

Herb quality: There is a world of a difference between fresh, high-quality herbs that old, low- quality herbs could never reach. Make sure you source your tea from a company that ensures the greatest quality of herbs to their customers.

Storage: How you store your tea and herbs is incredibly important in order to make sure your herbs don't lose their beautiful medicinal properties and go stale. This is why Breath of the Seas stores our tea in air-tight packaging right after creating our blends. 

Brewing temperature (loose leaf): Prepare your loose-leaf tea by adding 2 tsp into a tea strainer, put the strainer in your favourite mug, and pour just-boiled water on top of the leaves. Let it steep for the recommended time. Afterwards, gently press down on the herbs to release any remaining liquid. And as always, place a lid on top of your cup while steeping to ensure that all the essential oils being released from the herbs don't get wasted.
